Optoma has gone global with its new 4K home entertainment projector, the Photon Life PK31. It’s part of a trio that also includes the PH31 and PK32, all aimed squarely at casual home viewers who want sharp resolution without over-the-top pricing.

This 4K home entertainment projector pushes 900 ISO lumens through an RGB LED system. That’s fine for dim rooms, but don’t expect strong results in daylight. The rated 200,000:1 contrast ratio adds punch to darker scenes, and the light source is built to last around 30,000 hours.
What the Optoma Photon Life PK31 does and doesn’t include
There’s no smart OS baked in. So if you want to stream, you’ll need to bring your own stick or TV box. Thankfully, it offers just enough ports to make setup easy:
